Selling Our House

Okay, so our house has been on the market since August and hasn't sold. We can't afford the payments anymore, since we're also paying for our place in England. Two months ago we started trying to negotiate with the mortgage company, who told us various options that would get the property off our hands without hurting us too much financially or credit-wise. However, when I talked to them today (they just now assigned a mitigation specialist to us), they're telling me they can't do anything for us. I really don't know what to do. Please pray, because we really can't afford it, and I'm afraid it might affect us being able to continue on in our education and everything.
