aalpha1989
Was Mary Jesus' mother ever baptized by water, or just by desire? Is there a specific tradition, or scripture passage relating to either? probably not by desire....anyway just wondering...
Aloysius
Like Jesus, she had no need of baptism because she had no original sin. There is no tradition that I know of saying that she underwent it for symbolic purposes the way Jesus did; I think that it is safe to assume she was never baptized by John the Baptist or anyone. She was already sinless; created without original sin anachronistically by the merits of Christ.
Ziggamafu
That's actually kind of interesting...since many Catholics argue that Mary died before her Assumption out of immitation of and participation with Christ, it would make sense that she would immitate him in this way also. No tradition that I know of, though. But you never know!
