be_thou_my_vision Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 How many pre-postulants are there now? I heard you were supposed to have close to 20 entering! What a gift!

AlterDominicus Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 I was supposed to be there, but I sort of told Sister Joseph Andrew no, because I had a slight conversion at the IRL Conference in April, but I'll be there next month, hehe.

Ora et Labora Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Well, at the retreat i went to, the nuns forgot to turn the heater on (and even though it was may...it was soooo cold in the school!!) i'm from tx, so it was interesting to be cold in may.

I do know one woman (friend of a friend) who I think is driving up to see them for the first time! Prayers for all retreatants!
be_thou_my_vision Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I will keep everyone going in my special prayers!!!
cathoholic_anonymous Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I've seen some photos of mouthwatering cakes on their website. That's how they're doing it. That's how they're engineering the vocations boom. They're luring people in with cakes!
Ora et Labora Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 actually, the food was good...if not fattening.
AlterDominicus Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Hahaha, you have no idea Catholic Anonymous, the food is amazing! I really enjoy breakfast, haha, at the retreat its totally Domino's Pizza! Their home made recipes are AMAZING!!!!!!!! [misses biscuits]
Ora et Labora Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 i didn't have their biscuits when i was there. what's up with that?!
AlterDominicus Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Its a good thing, otherwise Sister Joseph Andrew would be "praying" them down your throat, believe me it was hilarious, and that was at the November retreat! I think Sister Theresa Benedicta felt sorry for me, actually she was rather amused at the Motherhood that was being bestowed upon me. Haha.
