That is what I thought. I figure a player is within budget range but an HD-TV ... that's not cheap. Maybe I'll ask for one as a group gift when I'm done with law school ...

Well, since the government is requiring all TV's to be HDTV's by 2009, even the smaller ones are becoming HD as well...making for fairly inexpensive HDTV's. But, you would prolly be best waiting...

The PS3 will gain momentum, especially after E3 will show many of the games that are in store for the system. 360 already has a good plethora of games, and more to come as well.

Wii needs some more 3rd party support and more submersive games instead of all the party games (unless this is what they intended).

With the great games, PS3 will gain more ground, but they really do need a price drop and folks will cop it(especially since Rock Band is going to rock folks socks off).

Now I need an HD tv.
