Do you have a beef with WYD 2008, or WYD in general?

I can't say I know much about what will happen at the '08 one. I'm just not a particularly big fan of the event in general.

I don't like WYD in general because of the Litrugical Abuses that take place there.

Do you not like an idea of so many youth gathering with the Holy Father, have you been unimpressed by the past WYD's... sorry if I'm asking too much. I'm just curious as to why someone wouldn't like the event in general.

I have heard of this at at least one other WYD event. I have never attended myself. The abuses I know of were all not approved of by the Pope and were very distressing to him.

An interesting story I heard at the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration (where I used to live), is that the '94 WYD really changed the community. Mother Angelica was so mad about what was going on that they went back to the full habit. Somehow it made her see that she was not living religious life to the full. So I guess good things can come out of bad situations
