IMHO: If a band doesn't get flack for calling itself "Christian" or "Catholic", then they've taken an easier road than most of us. In all fairness, I would hope that those of us who do get that kind of flack can at least get some preferred "air-time" from Catholic websites like phatmass! I'm sorry if that's not the answer you were hoping for.

Ahh..Switchfoot. I've been a long time fan of them, before they became popular. I don't think Switchfoot is Catholic, but in their second album New Way to Be Human, they have a song called "Something More (Augustine's Confession)" which was inspired by St. Augustine's book [i]Confessions. [/i]

Yeah, they are really humble guys. We saw them while they were on tour with Festival con Dios. You could tell they were getting paid nothing for the tour cause their van ended up breaking down in Irvine, CA for the show we saw and they had to ask for donations from the audience to get it fixed. That had to be very humiliating to do after having played such a fantastic show. God bless them that their doing better now. Signed with EMI and everything!
