Pregnancy Is...trashy? What!?

Being myself wrapped up in pregnancy bliss as I watch our little one grow inside his (or her) mother's womb, I found this recent front-page yahoo news photo extremely disturbing.

Even though you could see the magazine just by walking in a grocery store, I won't post the actual picture, as I don't really know that it's appropriate. But here is an NBC news link.

Clearly, the media's view of "beauty" is so intertwined with sexual power and lust that it can't even tell there's a difference. How sad :ohno:

PS - The article snippet is priceless...

The singer says she learned she was pregnant while on her recent "Back to Basics" tour.

"We were planning on starting to try after the tour. And so, I had gone off the Pill to prepare my body, because I didn't know how much time it would take. You've heard it takes some time—except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here," she says. "... I'm like, `Oh my god, can you believe it just happened?"'

She isn't even attractive to begin with. I wouldn't want to touch her with a ten foot pole even if she offered herself.

from what i've read, she's still not received the sacrament of confirmation because her schedule is "too hectic." :lol_roll:

oh the difficult life of being a mutil-millionare who works for a few months every 2-3 years.

Who said she was a Devout Catholic? Her mother said she was Catholic, but I never heard devout before. I'm a HUGE fan of her voice but I would most certainly not call her devout. She wasn't even married in the church. They got married in a Jewish Ceramony. (Did i spell that right? It looks wrong to me!)
An unorthodox sense of fashion combined with amazing vocals sets apart Christina from her peers. A devout catholic Christina was born in December 18, 1980; she is a songwriter and singer.

But Aguilera, 26, is a devout American Catholic. She is reportedly expecting her first child and has taken part in a television show in which she interviewed a teenager who had kept her baby rather than have an abortion.
Man, thanks for not posting it. I figured you were meaning maybe showing a bare belly wasn't appropriate...that photo is way worse than a bare belly.

I've been scandalized. Someone poke my eyes out.

I'd help you out, but after I saw the picture, my eyes actually turned to stone. I'm only able to keep posting through verbal dictation. (One of my cats is a former court stenographer, which helps.) ;)
