He does seem to be avery hostile to the Church. However, the only time I ever saw him really go off on someone on his old show was when they said the Vatican had the biggest porn collection in the world. He apparantly had respect for JPII. Becuase he went off, and they cut for comercial, when they came beck the guy had been reseated, farther away from Maher. Steve Mceveety, producer of the Passion, Braveheart, Star of Bethlehem is a devout Catholic. Really nice guy. Oscar Wilde was recieved into the church on his death bed.
