prose Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I am open to the possibility... Do I have to do it always?

Justin86 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008
Well be that as it may, one doesn't celebrate abortion or the Death Penalty; except perhaps ignorant white trash.
Oh I don't know, I'm thinking of a certain someone who (allegedly) doesn't celebrate abortion, but likes Hillary anyway that I might describe as that.........
IcePrincessKRS Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Yeah, I'm pretty sure Hillary celebrates abortion. So, I guess Hillary is white trash.
gamesfanatic04 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Grimmest Quote of 07 "Hilary has a lot of perks Jon, with any luck we will have a democrat in the white house." - My Boss

Dismas Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 (edited)
What are your thoughts on women wearing pants?
I cannot deny the utility of trousers, especially when performing grunt work or in frigid climates. However, I view them as an aesthetic abomination, particularly those hideous pant-suits*. While we will take nothing with us to our final destination, the pant-suit is acceptable dress apparel throughout Hell, and it is suggested that it be the uniform of residents of Dis, much like the Mao-suit in Communist China. I personally view the pant-suit as another facet of the infernal desire for men and women to become androgynous boy-things, with total antipathy shown towards actual human physiology and dignity. Now, I'll make a deal. If ladies wear skirts again, I'll wear a suit and tie as standard dress, and a fedora while outside, regardless of temperature. Please note that I loathe all three. *Most notably worn by Hillary Clinton, and other fossilized gender-feminists from the 60's and 70's. Well save Ms. Page, we are a whole-some, socially concerned people. Granted we do have mobile trailor homes, but they're alot better then the ones I've seen up north. And we have never been so dumb we tried to change our name.

And we have never been so dumb we tried to change our name.
What do you mean, except "Ms. Page"? Ironically in your attempt to castigate the victim (Dottie Poage) you mixed her name up with that of one of the murderers (Elijah Page). Mrs. Poage's opinion about the death penalty is obviously wrong, but it is irrelevant in terms of ending capital punishment. That's something that the "wholesome, socially concerned" people of South Dakota should have taken care of long before her son's death, and hopefully will take care of in the near future. What her comment is relevant to is the fact that this wound has not been healed in her. One of the reasons why the anti-death penalty movement has zero credibility in some places is because almost all of our focus goes toward saving the guilty. What little energy we have for victims we tend to spend in condemning them, or, if not them personally, their emotional states. We act horrified that a woman whose only son was brutally and deliberately murdered at the age of 19 would have as her primary reaction a desire for revenge. That is the most natural reaction in the world. When victims say things like, "I asked John Fitzgerald, the state's attorney, if South Dakota had the death penalty. When he said yes, my heart rose," they are not giving you a "grim quote," they are screaming in pain. We would go so much farther in abolishing capital punishment if we understood that and acted accordingly. When Sr. Helen Prejean first got into anti-death penalty work she also founded an organization called Survive to help victims' families. But which side of her efforts gets everybody worked up? Incidentally "trash" is a word that refers to waste, something that is used up or disposable. It has nothing to do with mobile home parks, and it is inaccurate to use it as an adjective to describe human beings, none of whom are disposable. The very vulgar phrase "white trash" is beneath you, don't you think? If you can't picture Our Lady saying it, better not to say it, and best to not even think it. Edited January 17, 2008 by Maggie

Ms. is a made up leftist, liberal, hippie-drug-induced politically correct title. The correct title is Mrs. whole-some....it's wholesome socially concerned.....it's socially-concerned trailor......it's trailer alot is not a word......it's a lot And is never used to begin a proper sentence. ...never been so dumb we tried to change our name.....not sure to what you are referring here. Is this like the idiocy of changing the name from the British American Colonies to the United States of America? Or is it like changing rounders to baseball? Perhaps it is like changing your state motto from The Sunshine State to the Mount Rushmore State, changing your state flag in 1963, or changing the name Dakota Territory to North Dakota and South Dakota?

Spamity Calamity Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 What about that Huckabee ad that he "refused" to run. Yet insisted on showing to every reporter he could that criticized Romney for not executing anybody. That made me cringe.
