Hi all, what are some good Catholic dating sites? I'm getting close to twenty and would like to start looking for a future spouse, just looking, not getting. Don't get me wrong. Thanks

I've heard that Ave Maria singles is good. Catholic Match also, and you can take the temperments test on it too. Fun stuff.

The first two that came to my mind when I saw the title of the thread was Ave Maria Singles and Catholic Match. I see I'm not the only one. ^_^

Bible studies, pro-life movement, and Adoration groups make good dating services for when you are not on the internet.

Catholic Match is awesome.

So Catholic Match is worth the money? That's good to hear, I'm a member, but not a paying member because I'm so cheap. I'll check into it. Thanks again

Ave Maria is a one time fee, at least it used to be, so you don't have to feel like you're in a hurry, and they offer scholarships for people who need financial help.

Catholic match is all that a service can be I suppose - but I consider it pricey. I've paid for it for a couple months now, but will have to quite for a while.

......I just looked at ave maria and wish i would have a long time ago...it says for college students under 26 yo it's only 60$ for the one time membership fee!!!!!! thats pretty darn good...and only $70 for extra features. I've already unfortunately paid 60 at catholic match for a few months.....

so im not sure how user friendly or what kind of ppl are on ave maria - b/c catholic match has a nice website/layout.....but it's a great price for students!

The thing about Ave Maria is that it is designed for courting and not dating. It is for people who have already discerned their vocation is marriage, and they are at a place in their life where they are ready for that commitment. It would be for men who are looking for a wife, not a girlfriend.

I am looking for a wife, I just don't know how to find her or when to pursue her, I guess. I want a woman whose like me, strong in the faith. And they are very hard to come by now days.

My wife and I met through Ave Maria Singles.

Ave Maria Singles seems to be the winner.

I want to subscribe, but don't know if I should. Is it too early, or should I subscribe just in case? I'll be twenty in February.

There's no time limit on Ave Maria. Only you can answer if you are ready at 20. The women you will meet have made the decision that they are ready, so you just have to be open to the Holy Spirit guiding you in the right direction. Sometimes when you pray for something like this, God says yes, but there's a big but attached. In my case he gave me the husband I had prayed for, a devout Catholic that treats me like a spoiled princess, but it meant a move of 3500 miles, and many frigid degrees colder. Oh yeah, and that whole other country thing. I didn't even know where Edmonton was at first. When you do find that person you are meant to be with, all the other stuff seems to just fall away.

Welcome to Canada.
We have Catholics (surprisingly)

I met my husband on Catholic Singles. So that's my vote. Each site has its strengths and weaknesses.

So should I start looking this early or not? If I find someone, is it that much harder to continue to be in a relationship with them for what may be a lot of years until we're married?
