Dave
Please, I implore y'all, let's NOT turn this into a debate on which method is better!!!!!! Just for the record, I prefer to receive on the tongue. It's my personal preference, and that's all I have to say about that. :P
Thy Geekdom Come
Currently I receive in the hand, because that is the tradition of the monks whose school I attend and because I was raised to receive in the hand, but I may start receiving on the tongue. M.SIGGA
At the parish I was raised in all kids had to recieve on the tongue until they where teens. On the tongue if I'm at a latin mass and at the novus mass if I'm in the center aisle where the priest is giving communion I'll take it on the tongue sometimes; it's actually pretty spontaneous
Paladin D
When I took communion for 3 years (out of pure ignorance :sadder:) I recieved it on the hand. Both methods are nice, but I was afraid to recieve it on the tongue... mainly because I didn't want to choke on it or drop it by accident.
dUSt
I dropped His body at my first communion.
IXpenguin21
if i have just washed my hands prior to Mass, i receive in the hand. If they are a little grimy, it only goes in the mouth.
JuCa
i receive on the tongue... i used to only receive by hand...but once i went to tongue...there is no going back personal preference feel there is less of a chance to get a piece of It somewhere
Laudate_Dominum
aww that's sad dUSt. I receive on the tongue because I tend to have traditionalist sensibilities. I received on the hand when I first came back to the Church because that's what everyone did at the parish I went to at that time, but I always felt kind of uncomfortable doing that and later found out about Communion on the tongue. BLAZEr
I receive on the tongue. Oringally I started doing it because some liberal priests were making fun of those who receive on the tongue, so I did it because they knew me and they would have a hard time saying the things about me that they were saying about the others. Once I started doing it though, it just felt right. I don't know how to expalin it, but I feel like I'm totally just receiving him . . .

jasJis
This thread is so pointless and on the edge of having no positive merit, mostly negative connotations. It doesn't matter, tongue or hand. I am mostly worried about how I recieve Him in my heart.
