I'll try to reflect mor deeply on my experience. One thing I would like to share right now: It's a torture to go back to the world. By the way, thanks for the prayers and best wishes! How long have they been in the greater New York metro area? well established there I believe. Now comes the announcement (September 2011) from Sr Marian Batho, the Boston diocesan representative on religious life, that the women tertiaries of the FI have made their foundation official in this diocese. Their formal title is kind of a mouthful -- the Franciscan Handmaids of the Immaculate is the SHORTEST version, other titles throw in 'Missionary' and 'Tertiary'. Currently they are to be found in the town of Bellingham, at St Brendan's Catholic parish/rectory, on state route 109 very close to interstate 495. Outside the Archdiocese of Boston, of course, they can be found in Rhode Island, in far southeastern Massachusetts, and I think in Connecticut?
