Easy solution.

If the student can recite the prayers of the rosary, allow them to wear it. If they can't, they shouldn't be wearing it in the first place.

Then, if nothing else, it'll force gangsters to learn the rosary!

There's a dude who works at Target with me who wears a really nice thread rosary. I asked him whether or not he prays on it and he said "Dude, I'm Baptist. This is just a necklace."

If there wasn't a line, I would've schooled him. I guess I will have to do it tomorrow.

Its sad that such a wonderful symbol of faith gets turned into such non sense.
I love my rosary, I was once a crossing guard in my town, in the very rough end where shootings and drugs were common, I had my rosary tucked inside my pant pocket, ah my sword of faith!
More need to SAY the rosary rather just wear or carry it.
