But when you think Tim Mcgraw
I hope you think my favorite song
The one we danced to all night long
The moon like a spotlight on the lake

:sadder:

OMG I LOVE THAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Die Straßen leer
Ich dreh mich um
Die Nacht hat mich verloren
Ein kalter Wind
Die Welt erstarrt
Die Sonne ist erfroren
Dein Bild ist sicher
Ich trag’s in mir
Über 1000 Meere
Zurück zu dir
Zurück zu uns
Wir dürfen unseren Glauben nicht verlieren
Vertrau mir

Wir müssen nur noch 1000 Meere weit
Durch 1000 dunkle Jahre ohne zeit
1000 Sterne zieh’n vorbei

1000 Meere weit
1000 Jahre ohne Zeit
Noch 1000 Meere weit
1000 Sterne zieh’n vorbei
Vorbei
Lass dich zu mir treiben
Ich lass mich zu dir treiben

Wir müssen nur noch 1000 Meere weit
Durch 1000 dunkle Jahre ohne zeit
1000 Sterne zieh’n vorbei
Wir müssen nur noch 1000 Meere weit
Noch 1000-mal durch die Unendlichkeit
Dann sind wir frei

Lass dich zu mir treiben
Ich lass mich zu dir treiben
1000 Meere weit

That song is fun to sing.

I walked you home most days
to beat the traffic after class
with all my best intentions.
But when the weather changed,
like fine print, you were hard to read.
Blind-folded, eyes wide open,
staring through me.

I never heard the words that were spoken,
with the rumored nights, with the rendezvous.
I never thought the whispers were true ‘til now…

I saw things that I shouldn’t have tonight, tonight.
I know now what I couldn’t have,
I’ve gone too far to turn it back
I’ve gone too far to turn it back

Followed you home halfway,
over the fence to your backyard,
with all my best intentions.
And through your window frame,
outstretched and lying on your bed,
Blind-folded, eyes wide open,
staring through me.

Uninvited, no one knows
how much I care, how bad you are,
How good we’d be, but you won’t let me in
Goodnight I’m leaving.

I walked you home most days.

Staring at the mirror through your hair
You can't see everything that you did to me
With your automatic eyes, five years disappeared
Five years disappeared that night

Do you want me to stay?
Do you want me to go?
Do you think I recognize
The look on your face when you think that
I know?
Blinded as the shades draw closed
Time's up for us
Would you want me to go
If you knew what I know?
If you knew what I know

Staring at the wall above the bed
I can't sleep with all the secrets that you keep
With your automatic eyes, five years disappeared
Five years disappeared that night

Do you want me to stay?
Do you want me to go?
Do you think I recognize
The look on your face when you think that
I know?
Blinded as the shades draw closed
Time's up for us
Would you want me to go
If you knew what I know?
If you knew what I know

Do you want me to stay?
Do you want me to go?
Do you think I recognize
The look on your face when you think that
I know?
Blinded as the shades draw closed
Time's up for us
Would you want me to go
If you knew what I know?

Do you want me to stay?
Do you want me to go?

Do you want me to stay?
Do you want me to go?

Do you want me to stay?
Do you want me to go?

Do you want me to stay?
Do you want me to go?
If you knew what I know

Even before we call on Your Name
To ask You, O God
When we seek for the words to glorify You
You hear our prayer
Unceasing Love, O
Unceasing Love
Surpassing all we know
Glory to the Father
And to the Son
And to the Holy Spirit.
Even with darkness sealing us in
We breathe Your name
And through all the days that follow so fast
We trust in You
Endless Your Grace, O
Endless Your Grace
Beyond all mortal dream.

Both now and forever
And unto ages and ages.
Amen.

I go to Cottey College, a two year women's school, and we've got our own little tradition. Whenever a guy comes into eat (this excludes faculty and staff) all of the second year girls clap and make a circle around the table that he's sitting at and sing him this one song.

"Skinamerinky dinky dink. Skinamerinky doo. I love you.

Skinamerinky dinky dink. Skinamerinky doo. I love you.

I love you in the morning. I love you in the night.

I love you all the time, BUT YOU NEVER TREAT ME RIGHT! (Everyone pounds their fists.)

So, skinamerinky dinky dink. Skinamerinky doo. I love you.

Skinamerinky dinky dink. Skinamerinky doo. I love you."

Since I'm on the way to starting a chastity club on campus (prayers for approval please :sign: ) I think that it would be hilarious to one day get Jason Evert to come and give a talk at my school and then eat with us so that the girls can sing this to him! Just imagine his reaction! We would totally put this on youtube.

What do you think?

I just want to look at that bug all day

Some things we plan,
we sit and we invent and we plot and cook up;
others are works of inspiration, of poetry;
and it was this genius hand that pushed me up the hotel stairs
to say my last goodbye
to a hair as white as snow and of pale blue eyes
[saying:]
I gotta go; I gotta go,
the bomb in the bread basket are ready to blow

in this town of men with big mouths and no guts,
the pencil seller's dog, spooked by the explosion,
leaping under my wheels as I careered out of Longwood
on my way to you waiting in your dress,
in your dress of blue

I said:
Thank you, girl; thank you, girl
I'll love you till the end of the world
with your eyes black as coal
and your long, dark curls

and with the horses prancing through the fields,
with my knife in my jeans and the rain on the shield;
I sang a song for the glory of the beauty of you
waiting for me
in your dress of blue

Thank you, girl. Thank you, girl
I'll love you till the end of the world
with your eyes black as coal
and your long, dark curls

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

Another post on Cottey songs.

"Mary Margaret Truman was the daughter of the pres. (La de da.)

She lived in the whitehouse with her ugly mother Bess,

so her social position was not very high. She was a member of 'I felt a thigh.'

Back in 1952, when Harry got the shoe,

there was nothing more for Mary Margaret to do,

so she went to Missouri (Mi-zer-ah)

to work in a bourough

so drink more beer." :drunk:

"Gonna build me a castle blue and white, gonna have me a party every night.

Gonna inleigh diamonds all over the floor, with my Cottey C sweatshirt right over the door.

Gonna change my blood from red to blue.

Gonna marry me a man from ol' KU.

Gonna entertain faculty every night

in my castle made of blue,

my castle made of white,

castle made of blue and white. Yea!"
