It doesn't recognise my built in webcam, though... so I gotta figure that out. Oh well. It's nice. Just what I need.[/quote]

Ya, there is still the occasional moment on my laptop where I exclaim to myself "Well, I didn't know about that!"

So, when are you gonna try Ubuntu?

It doesn't recognize the camera that it came with? That's heavily disappointing.

I'ma be honest. I tried Ubuntu on this lappy, as well as Ubuntu studio. There was a few problems that were the deal breakers for me keeping it. One was the fact that when I plugged in my headphones, the speakers would still play. The other being the fact that I couldn't record anything with Audacity. I think there was another thing... alas... But! I'm rooming with a computer science major. I'll see if he's into Linux, and maybe he can give me a hand when we've got spare time. I wanna put it back on, but I'm sick of the frustration of being stranded with some bad errors/dysfunctions that I am ignorant of the origins. I hope that makes sense...

I didn't even know my laptop had a camera until after I brought it home.
