Again, all of this is what Madame V was trying to point out. There are multiple reasons why this woman is a wonderful candidate. Prolife stance is number 1 in our books, but not necessarily in the books of others. She has more of a universal appeal and we should use those other stances in order to help get McCain and her elected. Going up to people just telling them that she's prolife won't do it for some folks, you have to sell the other issues too.

I REALLY don't want to vote for McCain. Like seriously it could make me sick to do so. And I don't particularly care for Palin's global warming leanings (though that's nit-picking and she makes up for it with her willingness to drill ANWR). But I might have to reconsider and just pray that McCain dies of natural causes .

5. Her husband works for an oil company.
6. She wants to drill in Alaska, her own state.
7. She wants to find alternative fuels.
8. She's against gay marriage.
9. She's good-looking.
10. She's fiscally conservative.
11. She's been in charge of ethics reform and has a good ethics rating.
12. Her son is in the army in Iraq.
13. She's young.
14. She's a hockey mom.
15. She hunts moose.
16. She's an NRA member.

Doing some research...I have to add...

17. She was head of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in high school.
18. Her high school nickname was Sarah Barracuda because of how tough she was in sports.
19. She can deal with the media; she has a degree in journalism
20. As part of her political reforms, she reduced her own salary.
21. She served on an ethics commission for natural gas and oil.
22. She's big on decreasing dependence on outside money.
23. She supports teaching creationism together with evolution.

Now, I also have to add that she vetoed legislation against giving state benefits to gay government employees, but from what I read, it looks like she only did so because she knew the law would get shot down by their state supreme court. The implication seems to be that she wanted to make sure such legislation would really go through and stick around.

not much at all I think. I don't think there is much hope of her doing anything as VP honestly. But McCain is older and hopefully if he won he wouldn't run a second time or maybe "God forbid (or willing depending how you see it)" he passes on before his term is up and Palin takes over.
