A Chemical That Must Be Banned Now!

The name of the chemical is Dihydrogen Monoxide.

It's in our lakes, our reservoirs, it's even coming out of our kitchen taps right now.

Plastics companies, energy companies, styrofoam manufacturers... they all use it.

Excess exposure can cause frequent urination, sweating, and even death in some extreme cases.

WE NEED TO BAN THIS DANGEROUS CHEMICAL!!!

Also known as hydrogen hydroxide, di-hydrogen oxide is chemically related to notorious toxic and caustic substances such as sodium hydroxide (AKA "Lye", the active ingredient in Drano!).

Hydrogen hydroxide is responsible for thousands of deaths each year- in 2004, 3308 people in the USA were killed by hydrogen hydroxide. 65% of these were small children.

Hydrogen hydroxide is responsible for most of the corrosion of metals, and is the prime cause of the deterioration of housing. It is estimated that eliminating hydrogen hydroxide from our environment would save more than $700 billion per year in housing-repair costs.

Hydrogen hydroxide causes billions of dollars in damage each month, to roads, buildings, public infrastructure, airports, hospitals, and animal-shelters. The damage to New Orleans due to hydrogen hydroxide contamination after Hurricane Katrina was the single most expensive factor that had to be dealt with in the aftermath of that disaster.

Hydrogen hydroxide is also, by far, the most active "greenhouse gas" in Earth's atmosphere- eliminating hydrogen hydroxide from the environment would put an end, once and for all, to "climate change".

I love it. I thirst for it!! I need it. I can't live without it. The Lord promised it to me. No, do not ban this. I cannot poach my eggs without it. My benedict will be no more.

But what about the children? Just think of the thousands of innocent babies slaughtered by hydrogen hydroxide every year, and I'm not even including those killed from hydrogen hydroxide induced global warming! This is all about oil people, and it's Bush's fault!

BUSH LIED! KIDS DIED!

True, he has enslaved the good people at Google by threatening them with serious jail time. Evil, I tell, you, evil. However, Bush does not lift a finger unless he gets oil profits, so clearly this is about OIL in some evil way. BUSH IS THE DEVIL!!!

Yeah, the point is to show how easy it is for politicians and environmentalists to take some substance that really doesn't do any harm, and make it sound like it's killing off the planet. It's called spin.

Penn and Teller would be proud.
