The Cat, Jeff And Missy Conspiracy Thread

Okay, here it is. Order of business.

Our first conspiracy together... we must get back on line with. We have a new item of interest which requires less doubling.

Second line of conspiracy (one that requires less code): our getting a sacred music conference of some kind in Toronto (cause Toronto is a great place to come). I've never done something like this before. Where can we start? Maybe I could start by making sacred music/choir/choral friends on my end? Then we gotta plan if we want to succeed. Apparently we're older now and responsible. If we pull this off, I suppose it's a testament to our ability to participate in society.

1--- I gotta fix my computer... :/

2--- haha. Not to mention that partly we just wanna hang out a pub. HAHA. BUT, anywho... yes Toronto. I know the people who put on the Sacred music colloquium in the US. And I know they travel. One was at WYD with the pope! So... you get your group started, I'll give you the email, you can contact them and we'll go from there.

How awesome would it be if we pulled it off??!!

Well, if we pull it off, we'll get to high five each other in person. It will be that awesome!

Yeah. So... you've been to some before? What goes on? How long are we going to have it for? I'm guessing it will be a late spring conference?

It depends. Some are five days. some are 7. Some are a weekend. Is there one in Canada?

The ones I've been to were a weekend. http://ceciliaschola.org/2007/02/19/38/ (I was one of the ones from Georgia.
You do chant, and polyphony and it's like a super intensive and you learn more in a week or a couple of days than you thought possible. AND- it's under the instruction of the most amazing and gifted scared musicians in the wolrd.

I can ask Dr. Treacy about how to go about it. And I can send an email to Mr. Turkington and find out from him how to go about it. Maybe you could write to your bishop and get support from him. I don't know how much they charge, but generally, it costs about $50/per person here.

Okay... yeah cause we'll have to arrange for food... I don't know this bishop personally... but I could talk to the bishop from my home diocese to talk to the Archbishop... hmm I might have connections after all... still seems daunting, but I'm sure we can do this. Ask for some advice for us first, then we can decide what is the next plan of action.

Just a reminder...We should plan on doing the St Cecilia novena in November(?) and if you don't already have one, get a medal of St Cecilia blessed on her feast day and wear it.
we need all the help we can get, and we can do it as a sign of our two causes being united though we are miles and miles away from each other. United with Christ through St Cecilia we can do this :)

I love a good conspiracy. hahahahahaha--

I have been ready since...what. APRIL?

Wake me up when Cat's computer gets fixed. ;)

And on the second order of business: am I invited to this thing, or no? Am I a chaperone, or what?

Well Missy, I'm not sure... we can make this a three way if you want an excuse to get out of the country... or maybe you can be a part of promotion? We'll need you in a little while then.
