I think it means that we shouldn't let an otherwise perfect package go by just because it happens to be wearing a beard at the time. We should offer it up the resulting discomfort, meanwhile ramping up prayers to the patron saint of clean shavenness. Who is.. I don't know but surely the Holy See has not neglected to assign this important area of intercession?

I don't suffer at all with my husband's beard. He's in Scotland this week. I'd give anything to have his beard tickling my neck right now.

I loved it when my husband had a full beard, but he said it itched a lot, even once it was completely grown out.

I only broke out when my husband had a goatee, and when he was letting his beard grow. Once it was a full beard, it didn't bother me as much.

Beards can be ok on a guy if they are well taken care of. A lot of guys I know just look like a bum when they have a beard.

I like stubble; not sure how I feel about a full-on beard. My fiance doesn't shave for a few days at a time, and I really like that look. The first time we kissed I ended up with "kissy-face" (redness, irritation, and peeling skin) from the friction, but since then I have had no problems.

I honestly don't like it as much when he is clean-shaven.

I am more of a goatee person. Developed in high school after being lazy and not shaving for a few days. Probably would have grown a bear if all the hairs on my face grew the same but alas some areas did not grow so much so I shaved the uneven parts and what remained was a goatee.


I think it has a more intimidating and mysterious look anyway.

I recently shaved off the modified goatee thingy I had on my chin. I've been thinking about growing a full beard this winter, a huge gnarly monk beard.

I'm swimming against the tide here but I'm clean shaven and like it that way. Beards ARE itchy, especially when they're growing out. Plus, I'm, ahem, old enough where a beard is going to make me look even older. Maybe when my hair is *all* white I'll go for it.
