You've still written more in a month than a lot of people will write in their entire life, and you should be proud of that! As for me, I am at 45,100 with several plot elements left to cover. Stopping to do some much needed pre-winter chores about the vast Lounge Daddy Estate really tossed a wrench into the momentum. Lesson learned: don't stop after starting, and keep at it every single day until the first draft is finished. Thus, the other lesson learned: get the pre-winter chores done before NaNoWriMo, for goodness sakes. Gosh! Right now I am at a bit more than 35,000 words. I'm actually going to seriously try to kick out 5,000 words a day. If I don't make the 50,000 mark, it should be close. At any rate, I am going to finish the novel. Had I finished that novel, I could hardly have resisted foisting the dreadful monstrosity on people, so you may all rejoice.
