dUSt
Well, the good news is that this made USA Today, because sadly, there's a ton of Catholics who don't think about abortion when voting and how it contradicts their Catholic faith. At LEAST this might be read by some of those Catholics and it'll open their eyes. There was local controversy here in Dallas when our bishops came out with a hard stance, and I know of at least one of my Catholic friends who will no longer be voting for Obama--not because she heard about the bishops letter at her church, but because she heard about it on the news. TotusTuusMaria
Prayers for him. I wish my bishop would say something like that. Instead he said that we shouldn't just vote for a candidate because of one issue.
jmjtina
you know, if all our bishops did that......the IRS would have alot on thier hands..... prayers for your bishop and ALL our bishops!
BG45
Apparently someone never has been to certain mega churches; it's like one giant parade of political candidates in the past decade.
CatherineM
My first thought was that many cafeteria Catholics don't really think about abortion when voting. Maybe it this bishop gets sued, that will get people's attention. You know, "if it is important enough for him to place the diocese in financial jeopardy, maybe I should actually pay attention."
