Vatican Hopes Obama Will Promote Human Dignity

I don't like this.
Not that I'm questioning the Holy Father's actions/intentions - I'm sure he means it as act of goodwill. However, I can easily see the 'progressive' ( ) 'Catholics' hearing this and saying, "See? Even the Pope likes Obama. Told you it was ok to vote for him."

Ash Wednesday

Yeah that's true, I bet Obama Catholics would say something like that. Like the pope's going to ignore him or something. LOL...

From the standpoint of the pope's diplomatic role it is entirely good and proper that he does this. I don't recall them being private before. Wonder if it had anything to say about the issue of human life and the freedom of choice act BO promised planned parenthood would be his first action as president?

It's best not to speculate. If Obama does what the Holy Father has asked of him, he will have to change his status on policies regarding human life. I pray he does. A formal excommunication of Biden would be timely now, so as to minimize the scandal on the faithful.

I hope that the Pope does what is right and calls Obama to task on his immoral agenda. The murder of the innocent must be resisted at every turn.

i doubt it would cause obama much unrest. he won't admit when life begins. he can easily squirm his way out of anything moral and continue on his agenda. "well that's what *you* think, Holy Father.."

I pray that the Pope tell Obama that abortion is murder.

This made me think of the meeting between Clinton and Pope John Paul II. Later, when asked, Pope John Paul II said that Clinton seemed to be "somewhere else" and acted as if he hadn't heard the pontiff's words at. all.
