Am I The Only One?

Recommended Posts

Am I the only one who, whenever it seems like things are going good, and I can actually feel happy with the way my life is going, something just comes up and smashes my good mood and reminds me that life just stinks....period, and if you're happy, you're dreaming.

Nope, that happens to me ALL the time. Just when I think, "man life is good right now-" WHAM!!!! it's over. :weep:

You have to focus on the good stuff, or life is going to a very long haul for you. I've had more than my fair share of stubbed toes and bloody noses, but every day of life is a blessing.

And yes, I'm blowing off my studying right now too.

Hmm, I said something in my last post that got changed to croutons. What was it? Hmmm. I don't remember posting anything that might have been censored.

I feel that way all the time...

It's called reality.

I was having a good day yesterday...

I then hear some terrible news. I get into a panic attack.

I have been in shock ever since last evening.

I don't remember how long I have been in this state of shock.

But, nobody would ever know...no one never asks how I am.

People often ask how I am...but I usually just say "I'm okay."

How was your weekend?
It was good.

Did you do anything fun?
Yeah, I went out for dinner with a few friends.

I've never quite understood this, but people have a tendency to be negative about life. I'm not sure why, but they just do. It's like a certain aspect of life doesn't even matter unless it's going really wrong.

If you have good health for twenty years, you hardly even think about it. Suddenly you come down with gum disease or something annoying, and all you can think about are your stupid gums.

Live in a nice house your whole life and you sort of take it for granted--if for some reason you spend just one night sleeping like a homeless guy in a port-a-john, it becomes a memory that you can't forget.

We tend to focus on the negative. Maybe its a survival instinct. Maybe it's just concupiscence. But ultimately, it's a problem because life has a multitude of different aspects to it. It's almost impossible to go through a day without something bad happening. It's also impossible to not have something good happen to you.

Just saying.

thats why i like travelling with friends. if you are alone and something bad happens, then it is horrible and can ruin your trip, but if you are with friends and encounter setbacks they often end up being the best memories of the whole trip!

"hey john, remember when you had all our bus passes and got robbed? then we all hitchiked down there to meet up in guadalajara and we got off in the wrong town and slept under a tree?"

"yeah, good times!!"

I do now, but as one problem has faded away, another with potentially more dire consequences has emerged.

I need to study for my exam that is at 7am tomorrow morning, but my shoulder is so sore I can barely move my head. Idk why either. I just woke up like this. Maybe I was sleeping in a weird position, like sleeping while doing a handstand or something. :P

Then maybe you should sleep on your back. :P
