BG45
Okay in alphabetic order, not necessarily order of preference. I've been having trouble choosing, although I can tell you most likely not going to be Augustine. Edited February 25, 2009 by BG45
Resurrexi
I like St. Augustine. All these choices would be good, though.

princessgianna
who do you want to imitate the most? Edit:All those saints rock!! Edited February 25, 2009 by princessgianna
Saint Therese
I would highly recommend Dominic. He was an awesome preacher and defender of the faith, and reknown for his devotion to the holy Eucharist. Benedict would be awesome too-especially since its also the same name as the pope. Thomas-For either Thomas Aquinas or Thomas Moore.
BG45
My profession I hope to get one day is paper pusher, right now I'm being liquidated...heh. Not sure which I'd want to imitate most though. My whole mental block on the issue is sort of why I posted. Hoped someone would bring something up to make me think. MissyP89
Caro--for your profession, St. Michael. I voted. I'm Swiss. But, I'm with Gianna--who do you most want to emulate? Who do you want to be your guardian and ally on this journey? Ask God. He might come up with something you've missed, or point you to one of the one's you've considered. Look at me and Maria Goretti! CatherineM
I picked Raphael. My Godmother's name was Raphaela. When the Archbishop read off my name on my card (the way it used to be done in taking confirmation names), he had this really weird smile on his face. I just thought it was because here was this almost 6' tall gringo girl with a really short Mexican woman behind her practically on her tip toes trying to keep her hand on my shoulder. What I found out years later when I ran into him at a church conference is that his middle name was Raphael. He said he thought that I had taken Raphaela on his behalf at first, because he couldn't even see my Godmother, so didn't notice she was Mexican. I was just surprised he remembered me.
