By the way, impugning a Southern woman's cooking is a good way to get chased with a rolling pin. Mine is made of solid marble.

Lesson two : You must always say yes to a man, and a man is always right, even if he is wrong. Because if he is wrong, than you still have much to learn yourself because a man is never wrong!

That actually doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when he drops stuff on the floor instead of in the hamper. That means that either 1) I wash everything, or 2) he gets to wear dirty clothes. It could go either way depending on my mood at the moment.

Addendum to that: His UNIFORMS will get washed separately because the velcro sticks to my stuff and messes it up. That's annoying. Also, they get way dirtier than his civi-clothes. But once you have kids (so I've found) separating clothes becomes less and less of an issue. Except for baby clothes that get mushy mud pie on them. That always gets a separate load. lol

I can't believe you married ladies have to do that.

I would have a separate hamper for my stuff, and I would never have my wife wash my clothes for me, ever.

That's just wrong. :ohno:

Actually, he does the laundry (although I'm supposed to be sworn to secrecy about that), I do the sorting. That way, I can raid all the money he leaves in his pockets.

My husband's work pants have velcro on them too. I am just now coming to the realization that they need to be washed separately.

I like doing my husband's laundry. Mainly because it's better than the alternative (i.e., he stuffs things in drawers and they end up wrinkly).

I love finding money in laundry. My husband did ours for a couple weeks after my surgery and told me he was going to take it over after he found $20 in one of my pockets. I told him he'd have to fold everything neatly. He's letting me do it now.

It's easier for me to do it all since his work hours aren't always exactly the same. He WILL wash his stuff, but I usually get to it first. Besides that, he pitches in with house cleaning, dish washing, and cooking dinner. He takes our kids out to play at the park and on walks by himself. He does so much to help out I'm not going to complain about washing his jeans in with mine and the kids.
