I was just talking about this with my husband. I said that once we said gender identity wasn't a psychological illness and started treating it like a physical problem that could be fixed, we opened ourselves up to all sorts of this kind of stuff. I then said that next, people would be having surgery to become hermaphrodites instead of just changing from one gender to another. He informed me that they already do that surgery in Canada.

When did we decide that anything goes, that nothing is wrong or shameful, no matter what?
