OraProMe Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) Art-house film, minimalist literature, indie music or anything slightly avante garde? If so lets be friends. Edited June 25, 2009 by OraProMe
VeniteAdoremus Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 *waves* Surprised? Disclaimer: art-house film mainly. I've been a choir girl for too long to be comfortable with most experimental music.

Jesuita Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Indie music and film.....do you know the band Sigur Ros? The Album Leaf? Ali Farka Toure? They're all pretty avant garde Oh and I just got rid of my cable but I used to have the Sundance Channel and Current TV both of which I loved. (of course I had EWTN too....) On a side note about music: the roots/reggae band Of A Revolution (O.A.R.) is from my hometown. They had a concert here last week and it was amazing. Has anyone heard of them?

Shattered is a good song but most of their music is more reggae-ish. THey're really a jam band at heart
Nihil Obstat Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) Does Salvador Dali count? (I'm a fan.) ((I'm not even into art.)) Edited June 25, 2009 by Nihil Obstat

I do think the melting clocks thing is getting old.

VeniteAdoremus Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 When I was little I wanted a house built by Gaudi full of pictures by Dali

When my husband and I have people in the car that are either being annoying or need to be musically "educated," we just put on Crazy Game of Poker...
