to continue my question, what about baptized or unbaptized children or babies? do they receive graces at Mass even though they don't consciously participate?

I'm not aware of a definitive answer and this is just speculation, but I would say with confidence that since infants can receive the grace of Baptism by the faith of their parents, then they also share in the graces that flow through the Mass because of the spiritual jurisdiction of their parents who are participating in the liturgy. Unbaptized children could receive prevenient grace through their parents' participation in the liturgy, though I'm a little less certain of that.
