Nihil Obstat
Our old pastor used to read his mini-homilies for daily mass straight out of a booklet, so I guess there must be.
It's probably something diocese by diocese. I kinda picked up on it because one priest that I've seen a lot will often read from a paper that has a bunch of headings like "Practical Implications of This Week's Reading in Everyday Life", which would be unusual if he wrote it himself. Resurrexi
I'll bet they do... Isn't there a kind of pre-prepared homily or notes on the week's readings that they can use though? For some reason I always got the impression that there was.
One can always find a homily of a Church Father to read.
Nihil Obstat
One can always find a homily of a Church Father to read.
That would be cool, but what I'm thinking of, I don't think was an ancient homily. They're a tad bland for that. Not that there's anything wrong with a slightly boring homily, of course.
tinytherese
I've seen online this book advertised that consists of the sermons of St. John Vianney.
