When I said lay, I meant to say non-living-in-a-religious-order-church-environment-but-kind-of-in-the-world-type-thing. ^__^

Just so you know, there are also secular third Orders, oblates, lay apostolates, and other types of consecration in the Church. They vary as to what type of commitment they make.
But my point is that there is a lot out there.

From Starting Afresh from Christ "Consecrated persons—monks and nuns, contemplatives, religious dedicated to the works of the apostolate, members of Secular Institutes and Societies of Apostolic life, hermits and consecrated virgins—truly deserve the gratitude of the ecclesial community."

*cough* *cough* 'la' douleur (douleur is feminine, I think that might have something to do with marriage)

*cough*

And the expression goes; QUE DE DOULEUR!

ROFL. Are you from Quebec? We don't learn "real" French per say, but academic, so I hear it's quite hard to pick up the local grammar and phrases in Quebec if you study on the west coast.

Oh ma patrie, pour meurtrie par ses propres pèchers. Que je pleure pour elle des larmes sans fin.
