Should Cake Be Eaten With A Fork Or A Spoon

This is something I've been thinking about lately. I'd be happy to hear your opinions.

I use a spoon, because I generally just don't use forks when I don't particularly need to, and because the crumbs don't fall between the cracks.

The first time I ever used a fork for eating cake was in the convent. This is when I discovered the ineffectiveness of fork usage for cakes (and other baked desserts).

I spoons! Spoons are best for cake, especially one with frosting. I don't like it when the frosting gets stuck between the fork tines . Plus if you do cake & icecream, a spoon has got you covered .

On my birthday I had made a cake. I was sitting around a table with my friends and one of them was using a fork. Another friend commented to him "Someone else who have found the right way to eat a cake". What's that all about?

If I'm eating only cake, I normally eat it with a fork. But, I prefer cake with ice cream on it, and then I use a spoon for both.

However, I have been known to just use my fingers. (One of the benefits of living alone is that there is no one to criticize your manners.)

If you need a spoon, I can loan you one. What I can't loan you is a knife. For whatever reason, I am down to three table knives, and three steak knives. I think they were stolen by the same creatures that steal my socks from the dryer.
