I was baptized Catholic but not raised in the faith and had a conversion experience almost three years ago now. I came into the Church Easter of 2009 and have been loving it ever since. I've felt called to religious life since before I came fully into the Church , but have been actively discerning (visiting communities) for about a year and a half. I'm getting all excited just writing this.[img]http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/public/style_emoticons/default/clap2.gif[/img] I have visited some Sisters here in Idaho a couple of times and have also been to Nashville twice to visit the Dominican Sisters there (And I absolutely loved it). [img]http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/public/style_emoticons/default/dance.gif[/img]I've had some interesting experiences with the NDs and want to go back if God wants me to. Right now, I'm at the point where I feel drawn to one place but not necessarily sure if God wants me there, or there yet. (Only time will tell). I'm hoping to go do missionary work after this semester once I finish my degree, if God decides that's what He wants of me right now. One of things holding me back from entering any community is student loan debt, so I'm talking to people about my vocation within our diocese and have received some donations (God is soooo good!). We're hoping to start a religious vocations fund in our diocese for women who feel called but are in the same situation that I am and God willing, my story and discernment process will help others see how important this could be for other women who will come.
