What's The Most Beautiful Habit You've Ever Seen?

The SofL habit is so beautiful. When the sisters came to my college, I got a picture with them 'for my dad' I said--lol, that was code for 'I am documenting myself with these gorgeous habits!!!....and sisters' ;)

It's sad, because, though I am called to contemplative cloistered life, I LOVE the active order's habits so much! Dominicans (ND & MME), Sisters of Life, and the Missionaries of Charity sari habit is also a fave.

Let me think...Benedictine? Black and white, all the way! Especially my order. The novice's veils look just like dove wings.

Nah you're not biased at all. I'd voting for those too. (Ok so maybe that means we are both biased :hehe2: )

I'm biased, but I love the Dominicans' simplicity, in all its forms.

This is the project that started me down my path of discernment, which gives great imagery:

Lots of orders have beautiful habits, but (in my ultra-unbiased opinion  ) my hands-down favorite is the Trinitarians of Mary:

Marian Sisters of Santa Rosa :) The miraculous medal is worn around the neck.

Visitation Nuns in Toledo, Ohio. their website is toledovisitation.org
They're really razzle dazzle, you can visit them and you can stay inside the cloister, so you really see what their life is like. I'm hoping to visit them again sometime soon. They let girls over 14 make a vocation retreat inside, you just have to have a priest send them a letter of reccomendation.

Very true. And remember that clothes of this type are only for this world. Won't we wear white robes in Heaven? I also remember reading how St. Francis received incredibly beautiful clothing in Heaven because he chose the least and poorest of all clothing for this world.

But to answer the question in a down-to-earth way, I love the contrasting colors of the Redemptoristine Nuns. Also the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara. And others that have been mentioned.

But my all-time favorite is probably this:
