PhuturePriest Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012
Make sure you let us know if you wind up in a Carthusian charterhouse in France.
That will be top headline news if that happens. I'd rather not at just about every reasonable cost, quite honestly. Sending me to a life of silence? Pfft. I like to talk so much that it's often when I accidentally talk to myself! I don't believe the Carthusians will appreciate that. But really, I'm not cut out for a life of silence. These are a few of the reasons on why I believe I'm called to the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. I'm still open to the somewhat lenient Monastic groups like the ones up at Clear Creek, I'm just more certain about the Friars.

Today it is specific to the Carmelite order, but only a few communities use it. This pic is representative of a group of monks from the monastery of Saint Elias in Atibaia, Brazil. Their foundation also has a monastery of nuns. Edited January 13, 2012 by Maximilianus
