My family's first mass there was a noon Sunday Mass. After issues with our previous parish, my father simply said "Find a noon Mass." At the end of a wonderful Mass, the priest said "Now if you see three black kittens running around, don't worry--I'm just catsitting." Well, that endeared him to my family (we have four cats) and my mother says she thinks that's one reason why we liked that priest so much! He is brave; he spent two days at my parents' with four cats and just visited me!

I used to have a library but when I started discerning, a few books I kept went to my first convent, and then I didn't take anything with me except my breviaries when I left (too heavy to carry around the world, especially as the cost to ship is way too high). Now when I read a book, I give it to a library. I do the same with DVDs I buy since I never really want to watch a movie more than once. I can't take any of these things with me as I am only allowed something like 22kgs of baggage on a flight and my three volume breviary set and Bible are heavy enough! There might be an online website for some of these cartoons though if anyone wants to do a search for them?
