But for the rest of you, he was writer who LOVED to write historical fiction... and he's pretty renounded for 1000 page books, and literally starting the rocks & animals and then all the generations of people.... I especially liked Hawaii, The Source (about an archeologial dig in Israel), Centennial (about Colorado), Space (astronauts & space program), Chesapeake (Maryland & Virginia) and I am currently re-reading The Novel (which is in part about Pennsylvania Dutch country....) Would start with one of the other books, however, as The Novel is a little different.... If you haven't found him, would be great on-the-plane reading going to meetup......
