Maximilianus
The US went through a few mainstream skateboard phases, one was in the 60 when boards looked like this then the craze died out until the kids in Socal (Z Boys etc.) used innovation to style skateboards to fit their style of riding and they turned into something like this then the craze died out and reemerged again in my era, the mid to late 80's. Remember "Gleaming the Cube"? Skatboards were massed produced like crazy and had all kinds of themes from designs from pro skaters to pop culture like Max Headroom. Tthey looked like this The belly of the board had all kinds of guards on it Seems appropriate for me to end the timeline here. AnneLine
Was anyone is scouts or campfire? I was in Campfire as a girl, and was a Girl Scout leader in the 80's --- liked Scouts a WHOLE lot better... but this is some of the campfire stuff... Any ex campfire girls would remember these... and know how much work they represent! Each of those beads could easily represent 10-30 hours of time... and each color represented a different area of knowledge/service... I probably can remember them even now...!
