franciscanlady
You're welcome everyone! Egidio, Mother Miriam of the Lamb is the foundress of the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel's Hope http://www.motherofi....org/index.html. Because she has never been a religious, she entered formation (as Sr. Rosalind Moss) with the Visitation Sisters. It would be great if she were on here Edited August 20, 2012 by franciscanlady

Gemma
You're welcome everyone! That order has played hostess to several foundresses because of their cloistered retreat capability. The formation program also has to be written, so that the nuns/formators know what to teach. AnneLine
People interested in Visitandine spirituality might also be interested in this: Interview with Sister Susan on EWTN http://visitationspirit.org/2012/05/ewtn-interview-of-the-visitation-order/ And her community, the Brooklyn Visitation Nuns, have a very simple but good website... They have recent candiddates received as postulants, novices, and two sisters made Temporary and Solemn Professions this year. My understanding is that while they have a school, they have very limited involvement with it; basically they are a cloistered monastery. (They don't do boarding, but having an attached school isn't anything terribly new for the Visitandines, by the way.... I was fascinated when I read an autobiography of St. Margaret Mary that for a while she was mistress of the young girls who were attending school/boarding in her convent.... 400 years ago!) AnneLine
And..... the Georgetown Visitation Nuns have recently starated a really interesting series on their blog -- with daily or almost daily thoughts from Visitandine spirituality -- really like this! And... I think they could use the encouragement of comments and 'thumbs up' for them -- I get the feeling they haven't been getting a lot of traffic on their blog... (No I am not connected, but I like their blog entries!) http://livejesus.blogspot.com/
emmaberry
Thank you for the recs AnneLine. That poor blog does need some traffic! Can someone clarify where Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God is in that video? I don't know exactly what she looks like in the habit!
