Actually, Light & Truth, I "DO" mean a continent like Asia and Europe (or even Antarctica!) The idea is that one would remember to pray for the needs of that continent... .the people, the places, the things.... just to ask God to bless them and take care of them. As I noted in my original post, many religious communities do this around Advent or Christmas, and St. Therese prayed in a special way for North America during the last year of her life. Ideally, praying for a continent should help us see further than our own immediate circumstances, and think more about places beyond own country. Thanks for doing this!
