Lil'Red has started her 'Sign up for 2013 Patron Saints' offer.... and at her suggestion, I'm going to offer an additional option -- 'Virtues and Continents' for your new year! As Red noted about patron saints, many religious communities have the custom of selecting patron saints for the coming year before Advent. Many communities also add a virtue to practice and a continent to pray for during the coming year (for example St. Therese prayed especially for North America the last year of her life).... I'm putting the continents in one bowl, and a list of virtues that we might like to grow into a second... and will pull them after Evening Prayer each evening. and post them... If you want me to choose a continent and/or virtue for you, please let me know by replying to this post. Let me know if you want one or both. Thank you! Pray for me. I'll start pulling them on the evening of November 8 -- and will continue to do so on request after that point.
