Does anyone else love this book series? This is my sister's favorite book series, and she has been telling me to read it for forever. We went to a wedding in Denver over the weekend and she got an audio-tape of it for us to listen, and my goodness, I immediately had to start reading the books. It's ever so slightly sad that I love these books so much, but hey, sue me.

Anne of Green Gables is really just a story about a hilariously dramatic girl and her life. There's not a whole lot that's girly about that.

Just giving you a hard time.

I know. :P But what fun would I be if I didn't at least feebly defend my masculinity against the common attacks it receives on a daily basis?

Maybe sentimental wasn't quite the right word…L.M. Montgomery can go into long flowery descriptions at times. I like to read the books when I'm in a poetic mood.

Oh, okay. Yeah, I can totally understand that. I don't really mind it, though. I've been reading The Lord of the Rings, so I'm used to what seems to be long, boring, unimportant tangents on things. :P

I saw the title of this thread and that it was started by FP. It reminded me that he has no man card :|

I proudly revoked my man card when I started practicing What Makes You Beautiful because Kate asked me to.

I think carpentry and painting is cool, but I don't want to read a whole book series about some chick that paints gables.

I take comfort in that we are now equal in terms of rank. There's a lot of confidence that comes with being a Church Militant, so I'm going to be a lot more lippy now.

Don't anger me, boy. And go to sleep. I'm pretty sure it's past the bedtime your wife gave you.
