AnneLine Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 That is a little creepy... :P I bet you didn't know I made friends with a cow yesterday. Well did you know that? No... but of course, I couldn't undestand what this lil' guy was saying. I thought maybe he was trying to tell me he had a visit from Pope Francis! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/07/pope-francis-lamb_n_4554696.html?ir=Religion Seems like everyone else on the Farm got to meet him!!! But the Cow got to meet YOU!!!!
AnneLine Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I should have KNOWN you would run off with... was it Sister Polycarp who chased the cow? Not a COW but it is a Benedictine! this, however, is a BENEDICTINE and a COW!!!!! http://www.seattlepi.com/news/article/Nuns-reach-out-for-recruits-to-island-haven-1102119.php#photo-629472
cartermia Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 Yes it was Sr. Polycarp and Regina Laudis has cattle, an animal I could not live without. I have been helping my granddaddy on the farm since I was able to walk. I even had my very own calf but sadly she passed away like her mother (giving birth) not even a month ago and the calves (yes, twins!) did not survive either. Honey was a great friend and pet. St. Francis watch over her!
cartermia Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 School is over for the week, now we just need 10 inches of snow for nest week!
cartermia Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Well, I do have to win the contest...
cartermia Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I am looking for a new way to win this contest! I will win one way or the other... I think I found a loop-hole!
cartermia Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I just thought I would let you guys know I am writing my own song. It is called Where have you been. Where have you been, When I have needed you Lord? The rest will be a surprise, maybe for the end of the reading competition?
cartermia Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 Boy, I have a headache. Uk won! why is everything gray?
cartermia Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 I might make some hot cocoa later tonight using my grandmother's recipe, the best hot cocoa I have ever had!

Comingback Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 It may snow here tomorrow! God help us! What kind of quilt did you make, Carter?
cartermia Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 I made a 4 patch with a solid block alternation like 4 patch, solid, 4 patch, solid, and so on... Grandma's recipe is  for 1 cup of hot chocolate 1cup of milk 1tsp heaping of cocoa 2tsp heaping of sugar 1tsp water make paste and a pinch of salt and some vanilla don't forget marshmallow or whip cream!
cartermia Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 I make this for my sisters almost nightly... I think since they are going off to college next year they need to learn how to make it!
God the Father Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 It's "Was sagt der Fuchs?" The "does" (translates to macht) is a helping verb in English that doesn't compute grammatically.
AnneLine Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Gott the Vater proves we have Germans here... unfortunately the rest of us have to use Google Translate.... and .... not so much.
cartermia Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 I am trying to learn German. Could you teach me God the Father?
