I had the blessing of being able to attend the March for Life and the Vigil Mass the night before the March.  It was such a blessing to see so many different religious communities present...there were habits everywhere!

Soooooooo many Dominicans...Both men and women Dominican religious.  It was really impressive to see so many!

Also saw the Sisters of Life, Missionaries of Charity, Carmelites, Community of St. John, Franciscan Brothers Minor, Children of Mary, Religious Family of the Incarnate Word (Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matarà, IVE), Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, FI, CFR's, Conventual Franciscans, some Orthodox monks and nuns, priests and bishops...And probably many, many more I either can't think of off the top of my head or not mentioned because I didn't recognize them.

Edited to apologize in advance for the fact that I didn't take any pictures   :(

I saw the most Doms I had ever seen....

So I saw a habit that I was wondering about, but then I did a google search and they were the Servants of the Lord. Does anybody know anything about this order?

These are some previous threads regarding the order. Besides browsing the website I'm little aware of them, except seeing them (as well) at the DC March. Hope these help!

Note: In the threads there have been some mention of sketchy beginnings and practices of this order, but I'm not an authority on the topic. Bearing that in mind, tread carefully.

How joyous! I happened to come across a few photos and was very happy to see two of my friends there - both are in religious life (one is with the Sisters of Life, and the other recently joined the Nashville Dominicans). I also found this, which was quite fun to watch.
