Father had a homily a week or two ago on pain vs. suffering, and how animals are non-rational while infants are pre-rational. I think we agree then. I personally do not use the word sexualized unless we are talking about the intentional (and IMO exploitive) revealing of a person's sexual nature. So, some fashion photography, obviously pornography of any sort. Something ridiculous like Miley Cyrus' descent into vulgarity. When I talk about sexuality per se I refer to that aspect of our nature as humans, as social creatures, with sexuality being chaste by nature, and a gift from God ordered towards the ultimate good of the human person. Which is also why in general I have no issue with fine art which happens to depict nudity, as long as we are truly talking about fine art and tasteful, non-exploitive imagery. Bouguereau, Raphael, Michelangelo, Bernini. Jock Sturges and Sally Mann, if we were talking about fine art photography. So yeah, I agree. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I really don't want my flippant comment on this topic to fall into a debate surrounding young children and sex.
