qfnol31 Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004
I don't think they were originally invented (or even most frequently used) to promote GOOD things about Jesus and the Blessed Mother. Thats myt big beef with them and why I'd rather don something that I know was designed by someone who truly wanted to give honor to and spread the Word of God.
Support Remnant! All their T-shirts are made to be witnesses. That's where 99% of mine come from. (I have about 50 or so....)
ilovechrist Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 the shirts weren't designed for their meaning.... i dunno
RemnantRules Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 i've never seen the Pope is Dope shirt, can someone show me what it looks like?
shelly_freak Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 dude i want wanna the mary is my homegirl shirts but they're so dang expensive. i should just make my own
FutureSoror Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 I agree with you, dlz. By the way, where does everyone get cool Catholic t-shirts like that?
nikkan_hanil Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 (edited) I think it's wrong how they're making this such a fashion statement. My mom say a girl with this shirt with shorts that showed 1/2 of her butt. Edit: English is no my good. Edited July 28, 2004 by nikkan_hanil
*teen4Christ* Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 OMG it is so hard to find shorts that cover you these days UGH!! just think will our kids have modest things 2 wear?
ilovechrist Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 something tells me that by the time it reaches our grandkids, they'll be back to Square One--where Adam n Eve were.
fearundercontrol Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 (edited) Am I the only one who doesn't get something positive out of "the pope is dope"? Someone help me out here, cuz I'm not getting it. Edit: Nevermind. I have now learned the slang meaning of the word "dope." Edited November 9, 2006 by fearundercontrol
got2luvjc Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 fearundercontrol, you brought back a 2+ year-old dead thread. bravo. I think that once the shirt takes away from the meaning and just starts being funny, then it's kinda silly. Some shirts (not all) are hiding the christian message in order for the shirt to be acceptable. I don't know if you guys have seen the shirt that says "Jesus" in the shape and color of the logo "Reeses", but I wouldn't buy that shirt because it seems to me like it's not really about Jesus, it's about clever logo-altering. Do i think the people who wear/make them are bad? absolutely not! because obviously if someone buys the shirt, then they don't mind people knowing that they're a Christian (which is always a good thing) *breath*
