What is debateable about the topic and the evidence I laid out on the very first post? Also if you merge this topic into a "rant" thread I will never post here again. I understand that may be an incentive for you to do it. That's fine. I understand you don't want the site cluttered by a bunch of my threads. I agree and I do need to pace myself. Although this topic needs it's own thread. And I know you didn't move it to the debate board (@MIKolbe did) but there's nothing to debate on this topic. It needs moved to the open mic. Peace. @MIKolbe conspiracies abound....my power is endless.

I looked at the Twitter thread and it looks like that racist post has since been deleted--although I agree it would have been better to leave that trash up and call him out on it. I also looked at that "Frank" guy's Twitter activity and he seems like the stereotypical alt-right racist dude.

No it hasn't been deleted. It's still up with no rebuke. I took a screenshot but apparently I'm now blocked from uploading images in my post.
Guest Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 @dUSt What's debatable about this topic? Tan can print stuff like this and not be considered a racist/white supremacist publication?

You could post a topic called "Tacos are my favorite food." No debate about that--but if people start arguing about what goes best on a taco (so tasty) it could be moved to the Debate Table. 45 minutes ago, Delivery said: No it hasn't been deleted. I saw in a thread where you referred to yourself as non-denominational so I had to remove the Church Militant tag.

I have not read the Tan book chapter and do not need too, I can only summarize that Tan publishing is repeating a narrative found in the Old Testament and not in anyway advocating the horrible sins... The interpretation of the “Curse of ham” is very much racist. Don’t shoot the messenger for being the bearer of bad news... BTW: Reading and interpreting the curse of Ham through a racial lens distorts the goodness of God’s revelation and the history of salvation that transcends race and ethnicity. In this case, an event that unfolded in Israel’s prehistory was ripped out of context and misappropriated in order to legitimize a racist social structure. Edited May 12, 2020 by little2add

You have not read the commentary or what is being addressed in this thread. Yet you assert your opinion and insert debate going against common sense. @dUSt then legitimizes your ignorance by moving the topic to the debate forum upon your request. If you had took 5 minutes to read the details of this topic you would know the archbishop interpreted scripture to say black people are the lowest of people to this day. That they are almost impossible to convert and violent ect. Tan which edited the book in other areas left this. I PERSONALLY have many black friends in the United States and Uganda. Real friends I talk to. This book is sick. And the fact you insert your uniformed opinion without even knowing what is being discussed is bull****. ******* STOP!!!!!! Start your own topic. Or at the very ******* least know what the is being discussed here before you decide to comment. 4 hours ago, little2add said: I can only summarize that Tan publishing is repeating a narrative found in the Old Testament and not in anyway advocating the horrible sins... They left this section and push it as a legitimate way to understand scripture. The book is a Bible study and is intended to help the reader understand the Bible better. I'm 'shooting the messenger of bad news' because they are printing white supremacist propaganda under the guise of it being authentic catholic teaching. The black lady who first brought this to light is also shooting at the messenger. Along with all the other folks who called out this white supremacy in the first post I uploaded. Guest Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 (edited) You know what else is not holy? Being a big trad book company still printing white supremacist ideology under the guise of authentic Catholic teaching. If @dUSt didn't prohibit me from uploading pictures I would share photos of my great friend Emmanuel from Uganda who is poor and still dedicates his time to helping those hungry get food and clean water. While also being a pastor, husband and father with a baby on the way. He is a great friend of mine who I regularly talk to. According to Tan he's the lowest of lows. Hard to convert. And whatever else was said in that book. Not just back then when the archbishop said it but to this day. That this has turned into a debate with little2add and others making excuses for it is sad. little2add Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 I Find a difficult from your insatiable ranting to see or read how tan publications made this racist diatribe. Would you mind re-printing the dire statement from tan publications in its entire contents, you are referring to? if you don’t mind and even if you do thank you
Guest Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 I've been at Phatmass since it started. I've never blocked a user until now. You're the first. God says to pray for my enemies so I pray for you and your peace in this life. I pray God be with you all your days and you enter the Kingdom.

Ice_nine Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 is it possible this timothy fellow didn't see the racist tweet? Personally, the guy really irks me but I shouldn't let that alone not let me give him the benefit of the doubt. There is an ugly ethno-nationalist strand in traditionalist circles. Anyone who denies that is dishonest, anyone who finds that even somewhat agreeable probably missed an important chunk in the gospel.
