its easy.....we have to stop abortion. its mandatory........

lookee here....
President George W Bush- Signed the Partial Birth Abortion Act into law on Nov 5 2003 and said "for years, a terrible form of violence has been directed against children who are inches from birth, while the law looked the other way."
Senator John Kerry- Voted no on the PBA ban act and voted numerous times against previous attempts to outlaw partial birth abortion.

Bush- Signed the Unborn Victims of Violence Act (Laci and Connors law) into law on April 1 2004. This recognizes unborn children as victims when they are injured or killed during the commission of federal or military crimes.
Kerry- Voted against the UVV act and voted in favor of a sub amendment that would have only recognized one victim when a pregnant woman and her child are attacked.

Bush- Early in his presidency GWB reinstated the Mexico City policy, which prevents tax dollars from being given to organizations that perform and promote abortions overseas.
Kerry- Has stated that his first executive order if elected would be to "reverse the Mexico City policy..." This action would give our tax dollars to organizations that perform and promote abortions overseas.

Bush- Is against taxpayer dollars being used to pay for abortions. While he was governor of TX, Bush filed a friend of the court brief stating his strong opposition to an attempt to compel the state to pay for elective abortions.
Kerry- Voted numerous times to allow abortions at US military medical facilities and has voted at least 25 times in favor of using taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions in the US

Bush- Has addressed the March for Life via telephone.
Kerry- Attends and is a featured speaker at pro-abortion rallies.

Bush- Backs a ban on all human cloning.
Kerry- Opposes a ban on all human cloning.

Bush- Endorsed by numerous prolife organizations including Right to Life of MI Political Action Committee.
Kerry- Endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Planned Parenthood is Americas #1 abortion provider, providing 227,375 abortions in 2002.

Bush- Ruled that federally controlled substances cannot be used to assist in suicides.
Kerry- Has said that we will fillibuster any Supreme Court nominees who don't support abortion and if elected president would only nominate judges who support his position on abortion.
if we dont vote right.... Kerry will have that vote to get into office.....

and that is something that just cannot be done.
also: i live near Pittsburgh and recently had the chance to attend a rally for Bush. Every time they mentioned Spectore the whole crowd started booing, it was really cool  EVEN when the President of the United States mentioned Arlen Spector, he got booed! anyway, spector spoke and because he got booed he ended up just trying to defend himself. the thing is: spector always supports our pro-life candidates for judges, and he has tremendous influence in the senate. because of this Pennsylvania has appointed many pro-life judges whereas most other states are unable to do so. Spector did come to the aid of Clarence Thomas as well. So, while it's fishy that Bush supported Spector over Toomey, and while i don't agree with it either, i can see his reasoning and it might just help the pro-life cause seeing as the 3rd circuit has pro-life judges on it.
That's a fine political move for Bush and it makes sense for him, but not for faithful Catholics.

I re-iterate- We can never use evil to achieve a good end...even if it is small.

well, the President of the United States would not have the authority to overturn Roe v. Wade in the first place, but he does have the authority to pick out candidates for Supreme Court Justices.

The Catechism itself states that good can be rendered evil when intrinically evil methods are used.

Though Bush HAS done good, he has employed evil means as well.

How can we jsutify a man who supports Abortion to end it. I DON'T GET THAT!

Okay, so he will choose Justices that are pro-life. He has clearly stated that overturning Roe V. Wade is not what this country needs. Can you agree with this. Is this what Rome would say?

President Bush does not support abortion.

If you want to waste your vote on somebody who cannot win, and help the culture of death, that is your sin, not mine.
I think we all have to ask ourselves "How por-life am I?" If you are unabashedly and without question pro-life, then how can you support someone who is not the same?

I see no sense in this according to the constant teaching of our Church.
I'm pro-life enough to keep Kerry out of office. :)

i read your document, and i'm not convinced we can say George Bush supports abortion. what we can say is that George Bush does not believe the country is ready to illegalize abortion. but in his actions he continues to support pro-life justices. even his support of Arlen Spector was done in order to support pro-life justices. We are at war, and George Bush is fighting for our cause, we should not stab him in the back. (and I'm not talkin Iraq or Terror, but the war against abortion)

Give me one action of George Bushes that supports abortion.

You can name tons of actions by Kerry that support abortion, you cannot name one action by George Bush that supports abortion, in fact you can name numerous actions of George Bush that OPPOSE abortion. Planned Parenthood and NARAL hate this man because he is pro-life.

and thus if he was running for "Decider of What Supreme Court Decisions Should Be Overturned" I would not vote for him.

Kerry is the worst person for us to have in office.

Therefore we have three choices:

To be for him.

To be neutral.

To be against him
Well, to be for him is to vote for him or to allow him into office. This is a sin because we are not allowed to support pro-abortion candidates unless we have to. I think we would agree that this choice is not allowed by the Church.

Well, we're not allowed to stand by neutral either, because that itself would be a sin.

Therefore we must be against him. Now to vote against him is to vote either for Bush or another candidate. I'll take the other candidate first. I have very many doubts that another candidate outside of the Republican or Democratic parties could win. In fact, I'm almost positive of it. Therefore, why should we vote for them in this case? I do understand that there are some certain cases where this would be necessary. However, I believe that if we all vote for a third-party candidate, we'll really be helping out Kerry. I think in that case he'll win the election. Now, we know that that's a bad thing, and something we really want to avoid.

That leaves us with the last option, to vote for Bush. Bush has not done any of the no-vote actions, as has Kerry (these include Abortion, etc.). Many people disagree with the war, but we're allowed to as Catholics (as stated by Ratzinger). Others have mentioned his view on embryonic stem cell research. He has stopped all funding for it beyond 2001, which is what he is limited to do. He is against abortion (except maybe in some cases, but I'm not so sure), but can't do anything about it. He's against the pill, but once again, can't do anything about it. I have a hard time seeing that not voting for him is better than keeping Kerry out of office.

Well, now I come to my point. God would not allow us to be in a positition where we must choose an evil. In my opinion, we can either vote Bush or allow Kerry into office. Neither seem to be good choices for many, but one must be right. (If someone can see another option, please mention it.) Therefore voting for Bush cannot be an evil because voting for Kerry is, and it seems hard to believe that we would ever be in an instance where we could only choose evil.

But then again, maybe there's a better option. I just don't see it.

My .02. :)

Bush IS Pro-Life!

There is no other choice.

Two choices in this election... Bush or Kerry. No one else has a chance to win.

HERE IS SOME OF WHAT HE HAS DONE:

Bush - Pro-Life Actions
http://www.righttoliferoch.org/nbushlist.htm

Before the last election you may have heard people say that neither presidential candidate was pro-life. Even now, some people are still saying George W. Bush is not pro-life. One reason for the persistence of this misapprehension is that the newspapers don’t write in detail about his pro-life actions. However, his actions have stirred up sharp opposition from many of the pro-abortion groups. Given that the newspapers don’t want to write about abortion, it’s significant that Fr. Peter West was able to amass a considerable list of newspaper and magazine headline detailing Bush’s pro-life actions.

Take a look at the list below.

The culture of life is a welcoming culture, never excluding, never dividing, never despairing and always affirming the goodness of life in all its seasons."

Quite a list. If Mr. Bush were King, he could have done more. But he’s only the President. During the period covered by this list, all the progress he made was against a hostile Senate with the pro-abortion people constantly giving him heat.

Thank you, Mr. President, for your persistence and courage.

Get it right.

God Bless,

Does everyone know that it is our duty to vote? Not as Americans but as Catholics. Just look in the Catechism.
Who else is there to vote for with a fighting chance?
If we do not vote for Bush who will help the pro-life movement, we will help Kerry Win.

Right. And in order to protect what little morals we have left we have to vote for someone who has the better morals and who we know will defend them. Kerry obviously cannot.
