Brother Adam Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 I went to my first Latin mass today with my sponsor and fellow Phatmasser. It was an interesting experience. I was just confused most of the time, except for the excellent homily the priest gave in English. But I enjoyed it none the less. You really get your workout in the Latin Mass. Up, down, kneel, up, kneel, down, kneel, up.....
Sinner Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 I hope to go to one here soon as well! I want my kids to see a little of the Tridentine to get an idea of the dramatic changes.
Brother Adam Posted October 17, 2004 Author Posted October 17, 2004 As long as they understand both are valid

Laudate_Dominum Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 I wish we lived in a utopian Catholic society where any Roman Catholic over the age of 8 would be fluent in latin.

I think I'll understand some of it. I know Portuguese which is close to Latin. Anyway, they usually have a missal w/ translations. Anyways, here's where you can find a Latin Mass in your area approved by the Bishop. http://www.ecclesiadei.org/direct00.htm
IcePrincessKRS Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Sweet. So you're coming on the 19th not the 15th? Thats a Friday and Matt will be working till 7 so I guess you really will only have women and children to help... on the upside I will be able to leave Adrienne with him and help move all of your non-heavy stuff.
