Andrea348 Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 My vote is for John. I like James, but it implies the nickname Jimmy which I'm not too fond of. I also work in a daycare I cannot tell you how many Jimmy's there are....Jimmy H, Jimmy F, Jimmy P....
mamalove Posted October 27, 2004 Author Posted October 27, 2004
actually i love joseph as a name.....so i vote for that too
I love Joseph too! In fact, I was supposed to be Joseph, but I popped out as the wrong gender. The problem is, there are already two Joseph's on my husband's side of the family.
ilovechrist Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 James Tobias (therefore he still gets what he wants in Toby) sounds cool to me
GodsThespianChic Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I'm gonna have to agree with those James fans out there. ONLY because like Raphael said, if God decides He wants a John, He will grace you with another son... But it is ultimately up to you...
Duc_In_Altum Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Maybe you could make "Joseph" his confirmation name. That's his decision though. But then again, you are the mom . ....just a thought. -joe ps- name him John
Scofizzle Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 name his Ignacious (or however you spell it) then everyone can call him iggy
cmotherofpirl Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Always start with your family first. Families are forever.
homeschoolmom Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I voted before reading the whole explanation. I love both names and my sons each carry one of them (although one's a middle name). Go with James.
homeschoolmom Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004
I've always loved the name John. :hearts:
me too... :hearts:
homeschoolmom Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 A warning if you name him John... everyone will undoubtedly think his name is Jonathan. I can't tell you how many times I've had to correct people...
heyyoimjohnny Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Lol I have to do that too, hsmom. And my nickname isn't really Johnny, but since it's in my screenname, I don't bother to correct people...
homeschoolmom Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004
Lol I have to do that too, hsmom. And my nickname isn't really Johnny, but since it's in my screenname, I don't bother to correct people...
And when I correct them, people stare at me like they don't understand that John is a free-standing name, not just a nickname for Jonathan... Hello...? It's not like mt baby's name is Bob or something...
