Birgitta Noel Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Hey G. Don't give up. You'll make it through this time. I just went to my 10 year hs reunion and people who were really mean to me for years were so glad to see me and acted as if nothing had ever gone wrong between us. I know that school seems like everything now but it's really not. There is a lot of living left to do beyond school, lots! As for a relationship with Christ, He is ALWAYS with you, even when you don't feel it. He won't force Himself on you but if you ask him to be there He will. He LOVES you. He knows your heart and He wants you to be happy. Hang in there. Take things one day at a time and find someone you can trust to talk to. Do you go to Church? I'd encourage you to go to a Catholic church and sit in front of the tabernacle where Christ lives and talk to Him. Talk to your parents too. They love you so much and would be devistated if you did anything to hurt yourself. You are in my prayers. Know that you are loved. Birgitta
Sammy Blaze Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 hey G, Even though I don't know you, I love you and care for your well being as a member of Body of Christ (remember, when one part of the body hurts, the rest hurts too). Please consider the consequences of committing suicide. Remember all the people who will be hurt by this action. Nothing is worth throwing your life away and nothing is too overcomable when Christ is in control, he suffered tremendously for our sake, and yet forgave us all.... may he be an example to us all. I know alot of people who were/are in similar positions, and my best advice is never give up, don't let the Adversary win. When I feel the weakest and like I can't handle life, I offer it up to God, and quickly remember he IS in control. I'll be praying for you homey, Godbless, ~S.
Krush2k2 Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 im not meaning to spark fear, but think about it- hell is a place of non stop torture and pure emptiness for eternity, while being bullied in school is temporary-yet suicide gets you quickly and most of the times into hell. so think about it, the alternative your giving yourself is actually literally a million times worse than the spot your in now-the TEMPORAL spot. think on that, man i am praying for you, belive me when I say that, and so is the pham. We are here for you man
Iacobus Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 G-Freak, just put your trust in God. Let someone help you through and beyond this horrible, but temporary time in your life. I know you are hurting, G, but please listen to us. If you don't want to talk to someone there at least call 1-800-784-2433 and talk to them.
Dave Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 (edited) Dude, so often in the past I've wanted to kill myself. Even now there are times when I don't feel like I want to live. It can be so hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I should know. But at the same time, I've heard it said that suicide is a permanent solution (not that it truly is a solution -- it isn't) to a temporary problem. I know that it isn't much comfort to hear people tell you to pray or that school is a blink of an eye or even that years from now the tables will be turned and the bullies will go nowhere but those they bullied will really go places. It may even seem to you like everyone is making light of your situation. Heck, you may even think that we have no credibility because we didn't go through exactly the same thing that you went through. But do know that we all care about you and want you to live, as you're a special part of our phamily. I too experienced my share of bullying. Even after your days of being bullied are over, it can really affect you emotionally and psychologically for a long time. I should know. But please know that you are somebody, and if people are too stupid to realize that, it's their fault and not yours. I feel like a hypocrite for saying all these things, as I've been doing a really crappy job at following my own advice and listening to my own words of encouragement. But everything I've said is true nevertheless. I'm here for you if you need to talk. Edited November 9, 2004 by Dave
